Only 'AstraZeneca' Vaccination in Regional Health Facilities: 'Joghavorod'

'Joghavorod' newspaper reports. While Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan claims at every opportunity that all types of vaccines are available in the healthcare facilities of Armenia's regions, the reality is quite different. This statement is not true.

'Joghavorod' has been receiving calls from residents of the regions for quite some time regarding their desire to be vaccinated with Chinese or 'Sputnik V' vaccines, but they have been told that these options are unavailable at their local polyclinics, where 'AstraZeneca' is mainly offered. This means that regional health facilities are not equipped with all types of vaccines.

Residents from Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Lori regions have also approached us, expressing that their local ambulatory clinics only have the 'AstraZeneca' vaccine, which the population does not trust. It is unclear when healthcare facilities will receive the other vaccines.
