Hraparak.am reports that additional information has been received regarding the criminal case initiated by the National Security Service (NSS), which pertains to the arms and ammunition tender conducted in 2011. Within the framework of this case, the former head of military aviation, Avetik Muradyan, has been arrested.
According to the outlet's source, former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan is currently at the NSS, and a decision has been made to arrest him. They plan to enter court soon with a request for his detention.
Also arrested in connection with this case is arms supplier David Galstyan, known as Patron David. The deputy chief of the General Staff, Stepan Galstyan, is also involved in this case. The noose is tightening around the current chief of the General Staff, Artak Davtyan.
We managed to contact A. Davtyan, he heard the question, feigned ignorance, and disconnected the call.
There are also reports in the press that a few days ago, a search was conducted at David Tonoyan's sister’s residence. We clarified that it was not Tonoyan’s sister's apartment but his mother’s, where David Tonoyan is registered as well.
It is worth recalling that the current government is doing everything possible to lay the blame for the defeat on the previous administrations, and it appears that charges will also be brought against Seyran Ohanyan and Yuri Khachaturov.
