Health Ministry Reveals Pashinyan's Real Rating: Edgar Ghazaryan
The Ministry of Health of Armenia has published the real rating of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported on the Facebook page of Edgar Ghazaryan, the former head of the Constitutional Court staff and former Armenian ambassador to Poland.
“For a long time, the Armenian authorities have been trying to persuade and compel citizens to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by offering several types of free vaccines through all possible means and administrative pressure mechanisms. According to the official statement from the Ministry of Health of Armenia, as of September 19, a total of 366,779 vaccinations have been administered since the start of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, with 237,454 receiving the first dose and 129,325 receiving the second dose. If we take into account that citizens who received the first dose are also scheduled to receive the second dose in due time, the indicative figure should be considered as 237,454.
It is worth noting that this number includes many foreign citizens, particularly from neighboring Iran, who had been lining up in long queues in the streets of Yerevan for a long time to benefit from the opportunity to get vaccinated for free. Among the vaccinated citizens, there are many who were compelled to take this step due to administrative pressures while working in the public sector, threats of being deprived of bonuses or other privileges, and so forth. There will certainly be individuals who have made the decision to get vaccinated voluntarily, without anyone urging them, or as a requirement for traveling abroad, etc. Thus, it is reasonable to deduce that at least 37,000 people can be excluded from this figure.
When the results of the snap parliamentary elections held on June 20, 2021, were published, the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia announced that supposedly 687,251 citizens voted for the “Civil Contract” party led by Nikol Pashinyan. A logical question arises: if around 680,000 citizens support Nikol Pashinyan and his political force, unconditionally accept his authority, and respect him, then why do they ignore his calls and statements concerning their health?
This means that, in reality, approximately 200,000 citizens support Nikol Pashinyan in Armenia, which constitutes about 15.6% of the citizens who participated in the elections. I believe this represents his real and maximum rating, which is even less than the 268,165 votes received by the “Armenia” alliance.
Logic suggests that, after such a failure, Nikol Pashinyan should immediately resign and cede the right to form a government to the other parliamentary force, the “Armenia” alliance,” wrote Ghazaryan.
