Direct Action: Protest Against Mandatory Vaccinations in Front of the Ministry

A protest action is taking place in front of the Ministry of Health of Armenia. Citizens have gathered to request a meeting with the minister. They have also informed the ministry in writing about their proposal.

The issues raised were related to mandatory vaccinations, biweekly paid PCR testing, and the illegal and unjustified dismissal of individuals from their jobs. This was reported by 'Pastinfo'.

One of the participants in the protest stated that they were warned that a response regarding the minister's acceptance would be given within a few minutes; however, the gathered crowd had to wait over half an hour. They decided to gather again to clarify whether there would be a meeting. Meanwhile, police officers detained doctor Hovhannes Gevorgyan.

'For reasons unclear to us, they detained the doctor. Just to check which department they were taking him to, they attempted to detain me as well. We still don't know where he is, and at the same time, we are not stopping our protest action,' said one of the participants.

It is noteworthy that by the minister's order, starting from October 1, employees are required to present a vaccination certificate to their employer or a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test every 14 days, and in cases of contraindications, a certificate. The PCR test is done at the employee's expense, and the study must have been conducted within a maximum of 72 hours.
