Aliyev Claims: 'We Have Returned All Soldiers Captured During the War to Armenia'

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated in an interview with France 24 that Azerbaijan has "returned all soldiers captured during the war."

“The Armenian government can confirm this. We returned their soldiers even before they returned our military personnel. The individuals referred to by Human Rights Watch are those who were sent to our positions by the Armenian military command two weeks after the end of the war and the signing of the November agreement,” Aliyev said, responding to questions regarding accusations from the human rights organization that Azerbaijan is torturing Armenian prisoners of war.
