Armenian Women's Chess Team to Compete Against Azerbaijan Today

The Armenian women's chess team is set to compete against the Azerbaijani team today, as reported by the Armenian Chess Federation.

Armenia will face Azerbaijan in the second round, with France being the opponent in the first round.

It is noted that the Women's Team Championship of the World is starting today in Sitges, Spain, featuring the 12 strongest teams from around the globe.

The Armenian women's team includes current European women's champion Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Anna Sargsyan, Susanna Gabrielyan, and Siranush Ghukasyan.

The 12 teams have been divided into two groups. The teams that finish in the top four positions in each group will secure spots in the playoffs. Armenia shares its group with teams from Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Spain, and France.
