A Message for Those in Comfortable 'Abroads' Who Think the War is Over: Arman Abovyan
Former MP Arman Abovyan writes on his Facebook page: "I have a message for all those who believe that the war is over while enjoying relative safety in Armenia or comfortable 'abroads'. No, the war does not end when you simply shout that the future exists; the war does not end when you attribute mistakes and failures solely to 'the blacks' or 'the Karabakh people'; the war does not end when you are ready to relinquish part of your Homeland to the enemy or accept the enemy's terms in submission. The war will never cease if you are willing to trade the valor, honor, and dignity of your fallen heroes for fictitious 'peace'. All of this only encourages the continuation of the war, no more, no less.
By the way, the 44-day war did not simply 'resolve' issues; it initiated new developments that continue to pose a vital threat to us. Peace is not begged for. Honor is not sold. Dignity is not exchanged for artificial 'pride'. If we can understand even 10% of this, then we have a chance; if we continue to be engulfed in rosy Turkish-pleasing dreams, then we will definitely have no chance left."
