«What will you say to this? Google already considers Tigranashen as Azerbaijani territory» - Aram Gevorgyan
Blogger and editor Aram Gevorgyan posted on his Facebook page: “For over a month now, Google Maps and Google Earth have bypassed Tigranashen when drawing the route to Kapan, leading either through Urtadzor or Sevan. It turns out that Google already considers Tigranashen as part of Azerbaijani territory and does not create any routes through there in relation to Armenia's roads.
Do you know what I am afraid of? That one day, as we pass through Tigranashen, we might see Azerbaijani checkpoints, Armenian buses being stopped and checked, and the Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces and the Prime Minister saying, 'Well, Kyarik is their territory, they can do whatever they want.'
Not to mention that you might just end up captured in Tigranashen with a bus of 50 people on your way to Areni... and no one will be your master; they will say, 'The Russians should negotiate.'
When they were saying, 'Are you giving up the enclaves? Are you giving up Tigranashen?' They were slaughtering them at the level of those animals, saying that the former ones were spreading lies. So, what will you say to this? Google bypasses Tigranashen just as it bypasses the road to Kapan through Shurnukh and Vorotan. Now it only shows the route through Tatev, and we can already see that traveling through Shurnukh has become dangerous. One day we will hear about Tigranashen, and our incompetent and illiterate officials will say, 'Well, it’s normal; that was their land'...”
