Putin Asked Me Not to Insist That Pashinyan Sign in Our Presence: Aliyev

Aliyev spoke about the complete ceasefire related to the signing of the tripartite agreement and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh:

“The text was finally agreed upon. Naturally, it had to be signed, but Vladimir Vladimirovich asked me not to insist that Pashinyan sign in our presence. The President of Russia is a very delicate person, very considerate towards everyone, and I said that I would not insist, as I do not need any additional points related to the humiliation of Pashinyan, because this humiliation is based on the country, not the individual, and we cannot allow this. Thus, I agreed that we would sign this document together, but, of course, with the guarantee that Pashinyan would also sign it somewhere. Where he signed it is still unknown. I have frequently raised this question publicly, but I have not received a response; perhaps a year later we will finally learn about it, if only for history’s sake. For now, I can only share about that historical day,” said Ilham Aliyev in an interview with National Defense magazine.
