Erdogan's Rating Drops: Opposition Alliance in Leading Position

The Turkish social research center "Yöneylem" has published the results of a survey conducted at the end of August, revealing the political party ratings in Turkey. According to the survey results, the opposition "Nation" alliance (Millet İttifakı) has surpassed the ruling "People's" alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) in voter proportions.

Specifically, the "Justice and Development" party (AKP) garnered 31.5 percent, while the "Nationalist Movement" party (MHP) received 8.2 percent of the vote, leading the "People's" alliance to accumulate a total of 39.7 percent.

The center highlighted that the MHP's rating increased by 2 percent compared to the previous month. Despite a decline of about 1 percent for the "Republican People's" party (CHP) in August, the overall number of votes for the "Nation" alliance has risen. The CHP secured 27.1 percent, and the "Good" party (İyi Parti) garnered 14.7 percent, bringing the total for the "Nation" alliance to 41.8 percent.

The pro-Kurdish "Peoples' Democratic" party (HDP) received 10.3 percent, Ali Babacan's "Democracy and Progress" (DEVA) party obtained 1.7 percent, the "Happiness" party (Saadet Partisi) received 1.1 percent, and Ahmet Davutoğlu's "Future" party (Gelecek Partisi) secured 0.6 percent of the vote.
