Pashinyan Has Made Clear Promises to Aliyev and Hostile Circles in Armenia: Anna Mkrtchyan on 168 TV

“When he says that it was not necessary to win, he is implying that he can stay in power as long as he wants without winning against anyone else, but at the cost of defeating the Armenian people, while simultaneously scaring that same people,” said Anna Mkrtchyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'I Have Honor' faction, during the 'Review' program on 168 TV, referring to the Prime Minister’s speech at Republic Square yesterday.

When asked whether the phrasing ‘it was not necessary to win’ was also directed at Azerbaijani President Aliyev in terms of the Armenian people not seeking revenge, Mkrtchyan responded, “Pashinyan is afraid of Erdogan and Aliyev. He cannot respond to any of their actions in any way. This fear is manifested in the fact that there was a ban by Aliyev on using Armenian place names, followed by Pashinyan referring to Armenian place names by their Azerbaijani names, thus pouring water into Aliyev’s mill. But that’s not all – we have now reached a situation where he is licking Erdogan’s boots, and Erdogan is contemplating whether to meet with Pashinyan or not. Pashinyan has made clear promises to Aliyev and the hostile circles in Armenia regarding not advancing Armenian interests, and now he is delivering those messages.”

Regarding the peace agenda he announced yesterday, she noted that he would give everything to Azerbaijan at the expense of the two Armenian states, whether in the form of corridors or in the presence of Azerbaijani heavy weaponry in Armenia. “This is not an issue for Nikol,” Mkrtchyan stated.

Speaking about one of the publications on 168.am, which reported that the Armenian authorities ordered drones from Russia for the colorful light show yesterday, and that the 10-minute rental cost $110,000, Mkrtchyan questioned the authorities: “If you had that much money, why don’t you provide the assistance needed for soldiers who require prosthetics all at once? Or why are Armenia’s borders in such a state? Are you raising funds only to provide good visuals for yourselves, at the expense of Artsakh and Armenia's statehood and the thousands of victims?”

She attributed the absence of any mention of Artsakh during yesterday’s event to the promises that Pashinyan made to Aliyev and Erdogan. “Pashinyan has had several meetings in Dushanbe where he has not mentioned that Turkish-Azerbaijani forces have invaded Armenia, nor has he spoken about the torture and deaths of Armenian prisoners of war. After the elevator meeting, another meeting took place in Dushanbe, raising the question of what is preventing him from signing yet another capitulatory document. Pashinyan must do everything against Armenian interests to continue his unobstructed power,” Mkrtchyan emphasized, noting that Pashinyan's unhindered governance is secured by the National Security Service and the police.

“However, despite this, we continue to assert that this government is treacherous and betraying, and we maintain that a criminal cannot investigate crimes. Our only agenda is to expel them by all possible means,” she stated.
