Door Slamming, Leaving: Should You Only Answer Petros Ghazaryan? Andranik Kocharyan to Ghazinyan
The National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee today rejected the opposition's proposal to elect Arthur Ghazinyan as vice chairman of the committee for the fourth time. In protest, the opposition led by Arthur Ghazinyan left the committee meeting hall.
“I might have questions for you. Should you only answer Petros Ghazaryan?” said committee chairman Andranik Kocharyan, following the departing opposition. “The candidate, who is facing unresolved questions, is slamming the door and leaving—what is that supposed to mean?”
Kocharyan announced that if the opposition does not nominate a new candidate, the committee will be doomed to hold meetings with the same agenda repeatedly and not elect Ghazinyan for five years.
