Azerbaijan Warns US Ambassador Lyn Tracy in Armenia
In the Azerbaijani publication "Hakkın," a writer by the name of Aynulla Fatullayev reflects on the United States Ambassador to Armenia, Lyn Tracy, under the title "If the US Ambassador Does Not Stop, Azerbaijan Will Withdraw from the Format." The article discusses the unity that Iran and Azerbaijan share towards Armenia, stating, "After years of conflict in different parts of our planet, theocracies and democracies have found a point of intersection in the South Caucasus. Washington and Tehran are working together to lift Armenia from a capitulating situation," writes Hraparak.am.
Fatullayev then takes issue with the "vividness" of September 21, presenting it in a counter-logic. He claims that theocracies and democracies are attempting to keep Nikol Pashinyan in power to counterbalance Azerbaijan's growing influence.
The article continues: "Inspired by the fraternal support of neighboring Iran, Armenian political scientists have praised the new statements made by US Ambassador Lyn Tracy, who has been increasingly acting as an official representative of the Armenian government since the end of the war."
Fatullayev reminds readers that the US Ambassador to Armenia stated that the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh is still unresolved and that Washington has much work to do in this regard. He claims that Tracy's "baseless" statements further destabilize the already tense region and incite revanchist and separatist sentiments within the Armenian political elite.
The article concludes with a warning: "If the US government does not abandon this approach, Azerbaijan will completely withdraw from the Minsk Group format of meetings."
Moreover, Turkish President Erdoğan recently called on American businessmen in New York to adopt a clear stance against "malicious steps that deviate from legal and historical realities." He expressed hope that these businessmen will advocate for the removal of barriers between the two countries before American authorities.
"I know that you understand well the dangers of baseless defamatory campaigns from certain circles, whose sole aim is to poison Armenian-Turkish relations. And I am confident that you will adopt a clear stance against malignant steps that deviate from legal and historical realities," Erdoğan stated during a meeting with US business circles in New York.
