Pashinyan Reveals the Purpose of the Seedlings Brought to the Square

The main concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence has commenced at Republic Square. After the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia was played, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was invited to the stage.

Pashinyan first addressed the President of Armenia, the President of the National Assembly, lawmakers, members of the government, representatives of the judiciary, the parents of fallen soldiers, and the gathered crowd. He proposed observing a moment of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs, and a minute later recited his favorite lines from Hovhannes Tumanyan's poem 'My Homeland.'

Nikol Pashinyan announced the decision to establish a Living Garden in the Yerevan Botanical Garden, where trees symbolizing the presence of all heroes from Artsakh will be planted, culminating in a tree of life. Special trees have been brought to the square, which, according to Pashinyan, will be relocated to the Botanical Garden.

It should be noted that today’s concert will feature a drone show, a performance by a symphonic orchestra, dances, and other presentations.

Additionally, concurrently with the events at Republic Square, relatives of soldiers who fell during the 44-day war are marching with candles towards the 'Yerablur' pantheon.
