It Can't Continue Like This: They Will Not Only Turkify Us and Strip Us of Our State, But Also Enslave All Virtues – Artak Zakaryan
Former Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, Artak Zakaryan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Desolation... political, cultural, scientific, spiritual, military, economic, and sports desolation. The 10 million Armenians today have not a single person, I repeat, not a single person, whose words, messages, greetings, advice, or opinions are heard and respected by the same Armenian nation.
In critical moments or fateful periods in history, our unity and collective strength have always saved us. To achieve this, the Armenian people have always had respected and loved figures who have inspired faith in us, gathered us, and united us. For days now, I have been pondering, who could be that person (or persons) who, with their authority and respect, can once again unite the Armenian potential.
Let it not be assumed that I blame the so-called capitulatory traitors, who are called the authorities of the Republic of Armenia (they are already buried in mortal sins). However, over the past few years, all types of authorities have also been discredited. The good has been mixed with the bad, the black with the white, and this has destroyed faith and basic respect. Yesterday's scrawny brat can not only criticize but also publicly denounce respectable individuals and remain unpunished. No one’s work, dedication, or service is valued anymore. Neither the good nor the bad.
Clearly treacherous individuals, those dead inside from money, and destroyers of the country today lay flowers at Yerablur as if they govern a huge state, whose borders they have at least doubled and whose citizens walk with their heads held high in the world. Meanwhile, many of those who built the state, liberated the homeland, expanded borders, ensured security, established statehood, and developed the economy, culture, science, and technology see no point in publicly speaking, lest they be unjustly dishonored by some scrawny young brat, parasitic scoundrel, or any ignorant dolt on social media and other platforms.
Because the entire burden and bitterness of war has turned into a nationwide tragedy at the cost of life for those who have faced it and those who accidentally fell in battle while fleeing from the battlefield, they have been equally declared Heroes.
This can't continue like this; they will not only Turkify us and strip us of our homeland and state but will also enslave all virtues, shamelessly exploiting the cynicism and irresponsibility of unrespected and unacquainted ignorant masses. Meanwhile, the decent individuals I know (and there are quite a few) are considering fleeing this nightmarish country as soon as possible. We must seek that person who has the chance to unite, excite, inspire, and gather the Armenians.”
