Erdogan: Their Only Goal is to Poison Armenian-Turkish Relations

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is confident that American businessmen will take a clear stance against "malevolent actions that are far from legal and historical realities." Erdogan expressed hope that business leaders would advocate for the removal of barriers between the two countries before American authorities.

"I know that you understand the dangers of baseless defamatory campaigns from certain circles, whose only goal is to poison Armenian-Turkish relations. I am sure that you will adopt a clear stance against malevolent actions that are far from legal and historical facts," stated Erdogan.

"Turkey and the U.S. have been two powerful strategic partners and allies for 70 years. This cooperation, based on a special and strong foundation, has contributed to peace and stability across a wide geographical area over the years. Recent crisis events have once again highlighted the importance and value of our countries' strategic partnership," Erdogan declared during a meeting with U.S. business leaders in New York.
