Results of Russia's State Duma Elections Announced
The results of the State Duma elections, held from September 17 to 19, 2021, are being finalized in Russia. Polling stations were open for three days from 08:00 to 20:00 local time.
According to preliminary results, based on the processing of 67.79% of votes, five out of the 14 parties that participated will secure seats in the Duma.
The parties that crossed the threshold are:
- United Russia - 48.28%
- Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 20.39%
- Liberal Democratic Party of Russia - 7.72%
- The Just Russia - For Truth - 7.43%
- New People - 5.58%
The main voting day was September 19. Members of Parliament are elected for a term of five years through a mixed system: 225 deputies are elected from party lists, while another 225 are elected from single-member constituencies in a single round.
