Kadyrov Collects Nearly 100% of Votes in Presidential Elections
The President of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has emerged victorious in the presidential elections, according to preliminary results accounting for more than half of the ballots. Based on the data from the Central Election Commission, Kadyrov's press service and the Chechen government report that he has garnered 99.63% of the total votes cast.
His main opponent, Isa Hajimuradov, who was nominated by the 'Just Russia for Truth' party, failed to secure even 1% of the votes.
It is worth remembering that Kadyrov has been leading the Chechen Republic since 2007.
