Sharp Increase in COVID-19 Cases Registered in Armenia

As of September 18, Armenia has confirmed 1,011 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 253,093.

The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia reports that 16 citizens died from the virus in one day, with the total death toll reaching 5,117.

On the previous day, there were two cases of patients infected with COVID-19 who died from other diseases. As of September 18, the number of such cases has reached 1,187. In total, 18 people have died in one day, increasing the overall death cases to 6,304.

In one day, 569 people recovered from the virus, making the total number of recoveries 235,599, while 11,190 are currently being treated.

A total of 7,018 tests were conducted in one day, bringing the overall number of tests to 1,646,018 to date.
