Pelé Transferred to Intensive Care Unit

Three-time World Cup champion Pelé has once again been transferred to the intensive care unit. This was reported by the TASS agency, citing a local sports publication.

Recall that the Brazilian was hospitalized on August 30 at a private hospital in São Paulo. The 80-year-old Pelé had stated that he was admitted to undergo scheduled tests that had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On September 6, it became known that the former athlete underwent surgery to remove a colon tumor. On September 14, he was moved to a regular hospital room.
