Farmers Spend Night at Factory Yard, Grapes Not Collected
Farmers have spent the night at the grape processing factory in the village of Amasia, Armavir Province. This information was reported in a segment prepared by ALT TV.
Participants in the protest have been supplying grapes to the Amasia branch of the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory for years. They state that they signed a contract one month prior to the harvest.
This year, however, the farmers' contracts have not been renewed, and the factory has not conducted any grape collection.
Sokhak Hovhannisyan has 200 tons of grapes and has no contracts with other factories. He has knocked on all doors, but to no avail. The farmers waited until morning, but the meeting did not take place. The issue of grape collection remains unresolved.
