VIDEO: Nikol Pashinyan Meets with the President of Iran

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, currently on a working visit to Dushanbe, met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Welcoming Prime Minister Pashinyan, the Iranian president stated, "I am pleased to meet with you. I would like to congratulate you once again on your electoral victory and your assumption of the office of Prime Minister," expressing hope for new positive steps in the relations between the two countries during his presidency.

In turn, Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that he returned from Ebrahim Raisi's inauguration ceremony with good impressions. "The activities of our two governments have launched simultaneously, and I believe this is a very good nuance that creates the opportunity to harmonize our actions," said the Prime Minister.

Pashinyan added that the importance of regional relations has been specifically highlighted in the program of activities of the Armenian government. In this context, the Prime Minister emphasized Raisi's statement that developing relations with neighbors is also important for Iran.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the further development of Armenian-Iranian multilateral relations, the uninterrupted organization of freight transportation between the two countries, and issues related to ongoing processes in the region.
