Defense Ministry Again Procures from One Person for 59 Million Drams

The Defense Ministry has once again made a procurement from a single source, this time amounting to 59.091 million drams. This is reported by 168.am.

According to a government decision, during the combat operations in 2020, psychological services were provided without a contract at the state institution "Mountainous Armenia" for the psychological recovery of 19,697 servicemen suffering from psychological traumas or post-traumatic stress disorders.

The government has now permitted the Defense Ministry to sign a contract with the same company worth 59 million drams in accordance with Article 23, Part 1, Clause 2 of the Procurement Law, which states: "An urgent need for procurement has arisen due to the emergence of an emergency or unforeseen situation, and it is impossible to use other forms of procurement due to timing, provided that such need could not have been objectively foreseen."

It is worth mentioning that just a week ago, the Defense Ministry conducted another procurement from a single source, this time amounting to several hundred million drams.
