Tractor Driver Arrested on Suspicion of Hitting a Minor Girl

On September 16, 2021, around 12:45 PM, a 37-year-old resident of the Meghri community, while driving a CLG-856 model loader tractor belonging to a private company near the secondary school in the Lehvaz settlement of the same community, hit a minor girl born in 2015, who died on the spot from the injuries sustained.

Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated in the Syunik regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered, and the 37-year-old man has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
