«Gnel Sanosyan told me, I promise you will be judged, I will disperse the community»: Geghamasar Mayor summoned by the police

The head of the enlarged Geghamasar community, Hakob Avetyan, has been summoned to the police along with his staff, as stated by Zardand Gabrielian, the head of the media relations department of the Armenian police, in a conversation with Aysor.am.

“They have been summoned for discussions and consultations within the framework of the action. He is not alone at the police station right now,” he said.

It should be reminded that residents of the Geghamasar community in the Gegharkunik region had blocked the Vardenis-Sotk road this morning, strongly opposing the merger of communities and insisting that the government should first address their security issues.

The head of the Geghamasar community had informed journalists that he was aware that they wanted to arrest him as well. “Gnel Sanosyan told me, I promise you will be judged, I will disperse the community,” Hakob Avetyan said.
