Shooting Incident in Syunik: New Details Emerge
New details have emerged regarding the tragic incident that occurred on September 13 at around 22:00 at one of the combat outposts located in the southeastern direction of Armenia. It has been reported that due to violations of the rules of combat service organization, reservist sergeant Mkrtich Seryozhayevich Hovakimyan, born in 1978, suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
According to ArmLur.am, in addition to the victim, there is also an injured party as a result of the incident. Preliminary information suggests that the cause of the shooting was interpersonal relations, leading to both individuals firing at each other.
It is important to note that this is not the first incident of its kind, particularly since the 44-day war, where such occurrences related to interpersonal relationships within the armed forces have become more frequent. On the night of August 19, the bodies of three servicemen were discovered at one of the combat outposts in Syunik; all three were 19-year-old privates: Murad Muradyan from the village of Bujakan in Kotayk province, Levon Harutyunyan from Yerevan, and Gor Sahakyan from Dilijan.
