Reservist Sergeant Receives Fatal Gunshot Wound: Ministry of Defense

On September 13, around 22:00, a reservist sergeant born in 1978, Mkrtich Seryozhayevich Hovakimyan, sustained a fatal gunshot wound at one of the combat positions located in the southeastern direction of Armenia. According to preliminary information, this incident occurred due to a violation of combat service organization rules.

Investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of this loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives, and colleagues of the fallen serviceman.
