Body of 43-Year-Old Reserve Soldier Found with Gunshot Wound in Kapan Post, 1 Injured

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a tragic incident occurred in the Syunik region yesterday, on September 13. At around 10:00 PM, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia received information that gunfire had been heard at one of the posts in Kapan.

Upon arrival at the scene, the local military police determined that as a result of the shooting, one reserve soldier had died, and another person had sustained gunshot injuries. The deceased was identified as 43-year-old Mkrtich H. from Yerevan, while the injured individual was a 36-year-old Levon S., also from Yerevan.

A criminal case has been initiated by the 9th garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative Committee of Armenia concerning the incident.

As per G. Shamshyan's sources, military police and garrison investigative department investigators have already established certain circumstances of the incident, and there is a suspect whose gunfire resulted in one death and one injury.
