Engineer Works Underway in Black Lake Area; Azerbaijan Could Cut Off Kapan from Armenia at Any Moment - Vahe Hakobyan
In an atmosphere of indulgence and concessions, the Azerbaijani side is becoming increasingly brazen. They have established a police checkpoint near Vorotan, where they are stopping Iranian trucks and demanding money. This was stated by Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, during a briefing with journalists.
He emphasized that in a statement released by the National Security Service, Vorotan is referred to by its Azerbaijani name. 'We are gradually being taught to accept this as Azerbaijani territory. Azerbaijani soldiers are also preparing for winter in the Black Lake area, where they are performing engineering works. Today's critical issue is Syunik; what judge, what Constitutional Court, what Jahangiryan? Today, Azerbaijan can cut off Kapan from Armenia at any moment,' he said.
Hakobyan stressed that the only way to resolve all these issues is the immediate removal of Nikol Pashinyan. Speaking about the events on the Goris-Kapan road, he also highlighted the economic aspect of the issue, noting that 40% of Armenia's trade is conducted through Iran.
'In this situation, the mayors of Syunik continue to remain in detention. Just imagine what would happen if Arush Arushanyan were in the city. This is why the request to replace Arush Arushanyan's pretrial measure with bail was rejected. The revenge against the person occupying the prime minister's chair continues. If he thinks he will remain in that chair for life, he is mistaken,' Vahe Hakobyan stated.
