Developer in Fizgorodok Prepares to Eliminate Evidence in Criminal Case, Residents Alarmed

The developer in Fizgorodok is preparing to eliminate evidence related to a criminal case. This was reported by the residents of the scientific community of Fizgorodok.

Their Facebook page states: “Dear supporters and journalists, work at 6/1 Aghikhanyan Street was halted due to residents' complaints and police intervention last Friday. Today, new and larger equipment has appeared in the area. It is evident that the developer intends to continue removing evidence. The investigative body has already submitted a request to suspend the construction. The demolition activities are illegal and must be prevented.”

It should be noted that residents of the scientific community known as Fizgorodok are protesting against the construction of a multi-storey building in the area, deeming it illegal. They have already held several protests against the construction, resulting in a criminal case being initiated a few days later under Part 2 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The municipality has instructed to suspend the construction until the case investigation is completed.
