Military Exercises in Central Riga Spark Panic Among Residents

Military exercises were conducted in Latvia, right in the capital's center. Residents of Riga shared footage on social media showing soldiers firing weapons and applying their special operation skills in the heart of the city, seemingly unconcerned about passersby.

As people had not been forewarned about these drills, the presence of military personnel on the streets startled many. Today, the Latvian Ministry of Defense issued an apology for the exercises taking place in central Riga, explaining that the incident was a misunderstanding.
