Peskov's Response to Zelensky's Statement on War
The Kremlin has responded with "sorrow" to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's remarks about the likelihood of a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, made this statement according to Kommersant.
“Moscow would not like to give rise to any apocalyptic expectations regarding the likelihood of such an armed conflict,” said Peskov in response to a question about whether the Kremlin sees a threat of war.
Previously, a question was posed to the Ukrainian president regarding the likelihood of a full-scale war with Russia, to which he replied, “I think it could happen.” At the same time, Zelensky expressed the opinion that such a move would be a “great mistake.”
