Muradov Introduces New Commander of Peacekeeping Force to Hasanov

The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Zakir Hasanov, met with the new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Major General Mikhail Kosobokov, as reported by Sputnik.

The former commander of the peacekeeping force, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, introduced the new commander to the Azerbaijani minister.

The parties discussed the situation in the region where the Russian peacekeepers are stationed.

Days earlier, the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Arshak Karapetyan, had also met with the new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Major General Mikhail Kosobokov.

Prior to this, Rustam Muradov had made a summary visit to the Armenian defense ministry, and on September 7, a prisoner exchange was conducted with his participation. After that, Muradov traveled to Makhachkala. In an interview with TASS, he gave a positive assessment of the work of Russian peacekeepers in the region.
