Putin Posthumously Awards Hero Title to Minister Yevgeny Zinichev Who Died Yesterday
Russian President Vladimir Putin has posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation to Yevgeny Zinichev, the Minister of Emergency Situations. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Kremlin Press Service.
“President Vladimir Putin, by his decree, has awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously) to Army General Yevgeny Zinichev for the heroism, courage, and selflessness displayed while performing his official duties,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that Zinichev died on September 8 during a training flight in Norilsk while attempting to save the life of filmmaker Alexander Melkin.
