Armenia Re-enters 'Red' Zone; Entry Restrictions May Tighten

Due to the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases, Armenia has once again entered the 'red' zone of epidemic danger according to the European Union's criteria. This information has been provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

This means that entry restrictions for Armenian citizens may be tightened. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) updates its list of epidemiologically safe countries every two weeks, taking into account the current COVID-19 situation, the number of new cases, and vaccination rates.

It is worth mentioning that just at the beginning of summer, Armenia was moving from the 'red' zone to the 'green', but within just one month, due to the rapid spread of the delta variant, the country is once again considered unsafe from an epidemiological perspective.
