Explosion at Polish Arms Factory Leaves One Dead

A powerful explosion occurred at the Mesko arms factory located in the central Polish town of Skarżysko-Kamienna. According to reports from Polsat television, the explosion involved explosives within the factory. The explosion resulted in the death of a 41-year-old woman.

According to RMF FM radio, the explosion happened while a female employee was packaging explosives. Mesko is a manufacturer of ammunition and missiles, and also produces components for some of the largest defense companies in the world. The Skarżysko-Kamienna facility manufactures portable anti-aircraft missile systems, including the Grom and Piorun systems.
