Prosecutor's Office on Levon Sargsyan's Illegal Departure from Armenia

The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia stated that there is no evidence regarding Levon Sargsyan, the brother of former President Serzh Sargsyan, facilitating an illegal departure from Armenia. This statement came in light of ongoing criminal cases being investigated by the relevant authorities, including ones connected to both Levon Sargsyan and Mile Milenkovski.

The prosecution has been initiated against Milenkovski for providing assistance to a foreign national who illegally crossed the state border of Armenia. Should the Macedonian authorities possess any specific evidence, they are encouraged to share this with Armenian authorities, as noted by Gori Abrahamyan, advisor to the Prosecutor General.

Macedonian media previously reported that a Macedonian diplomat allegedly assisted Levon Sargsyan in fleeing the country using a rented aircraft and false identification documents.

It should be reminded that earlier, Gori Abrahamyan had reported that Miles Milenkovski, the Deputy Head of the North Macedonia mission to the OSCE, was arrested at Armenia's request. The Prosecutor's Office is preparing documents to request his extradition from Serbian authorities.
