Yerevan Ready to Resume Negotiations with Baku on Artsakh
Yerevan is ready to resume negotiations with Baku regarding the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on equality and non-use of force. This information was conveyed by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in an interview with RIA Novosti, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.
“The Republic of Armenia has repeatedly stated at a high level that it is ready to resume the peaceful process concerning Nagorno-Karabakh, based on well-known principles, namely the non-use of force or threat of force, equality of peoples, self-determination, and territorial integrity. Following the signing of the trilateral statement on November 9, co-chairs have made several announcements. The Armenian side welcomed these statements, considering them a roadmap for peace in the region,” said the minister.
Moreover, Mirzoyan noted that Azerbaijan is not adhering to the ceasefire agreement, particularly failing to ensure “the immediate return of all prisoners of war and other detained persons.” The minister also accused Baku of invading Armenian territory and making false territorial claims.
“The Armenian side will consistently promote the realization of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and the right to live freely and with dignity in their homeland,” Mirzoyan emphasized.
