Body of 3-Year-Old Girl Found in River in Gegharkunik

The Gegharkunik region investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred on August 27 in one of the villages in the Gegharkunik region.

According to Shamshyan.com, on that day at approximately 15:30, a report was received by the Vardenis police from the Gegharkunik military hospital regarding the transfer of a deceased girl from one of the villages.

Police and investigators have determined that the deceased was 3-year-old Satenik G., a resident of the Gegharkunik region. The mother of Satenik, who was invited to the investigative department, reported that on the same day, the child had fallen into a river located in front of their house and drowned.

Upon the investigator's decision, several examinations have been scheduled, including forensic medical examinations.
