VIDEO: It Is Horrifying That Pashinyan Describes the Goris-Kapan Situation Using Azerbaijani Place Names
“My number one concern is that the person occupying the position of Prime Minister describes the situation in Goris-Kapan using Azerbaijani place names; this is very horrifying to me,” said Hayk Mamijanyan, a member of the ‘Honorary’ faction, in an interview with 24News, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks during today’s government meeting.
“The closure of the Goris-Kapan interstate road was a continuation of a very bad precedent set on May 12 with the incursion of Azerbaijanis into the area of Lake Sevan. When the person holding the Prime Ministerial position says that we will not start a war over such a percentage of Lake Sevan, the enemy thinks that they won’t start a war over the interstate road either. What is he talking about? From the number one political podium, he dared to say that those roads do not lie within the territory of Armenia according to Soviet maps,” added the MP.
According to Mamijanyan, the authorities should carry out engineering works at the Syunik border and also renovate the alternative road passing through Tatev, as it is impassable, especially for freight transport.
