Earthquake Recorded in Armenia

On August 27 at 02:29 local time (22:29 GMT on August 26), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake in Armenia at geographical coordinates of 40.15° North latitude and 45.04° East longitude, 23 km west of the town of Martuni, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 3.3.

The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 4-5 points. The earthquake was felt in the towns of Martuni in the Gegharkunik region and Abovyan in the Kotayk region with an intensity of 3 points, while in Yerevan, the intensity was 2 points.
