Have You Noticed That Statements About Demarcation and Delimitation Have Stopped Coming from Baku? - Pashinyan
Initially, there was an attempt to create an impression through the presence of certain forces in the hall that demarcation and delimitation are an agenda imposed on Armenia. We have consistently and clearly stated that we are moving towards this agenda and that we are interested in this agenda. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared this today, August 26, in the National Assembly.
“Have you not noticed that statements about demarcation and delimitation are no longer coming from Baku? On the contrary, there is an effort to remove that issue from this agenda. We bear historical responsibility. The challenges facing our country today are more than can be expressed from this podium. They say you have failed the negotiation process; I will not tire of repeating, Serzh Sargsyan said from this podium on April 17, 2018, that the negotiation process does not inspire optimism. It can be said more clearly that this negotiation process is simply at a standstill, at a standstill because the expectations of the Azerbaijani leadership from the outcomes of the negotiations are unrealistic and unacceptable to us. These people tell us that you have failed the negotiation process. Well, why don’t you respond and explain how you have conducted the negotiation process, giving Azerbaijan the opportunity to come, sit at the table, bang the table, and formulate unacceptable, unrealistic demands?” Pashinyan said.
