VIDEO: "Calm Down Already". Tensions Rise in National Assembly After Aram Vardevanyan's Question

After the question posed by Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the atmosphere in the National Assembly heated up again. Vardevanyan, in response to Pashinyan's speech, mentioned that the public can only provide evaluations regarding legal processes but cannot make rulings. Additionally, he referred to the $5 billion, which, according to reports, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev promised to give Nikol Pashinyan.

Following Vardevanyan's question, members of the ruling faction began shouting, to which Pashinyan responded: "Calm down already," and he shouted back regarding the question: "You would do well to discuss those billions with your client. There is someone there, let him come and speak about the five billion, provide testimony and evidence. If the people cannot make decisions, why did you make decisions regarding executions and hangings with 300 people? The people can make a decision and carry out that ruling. Remember when you were making those execution scenes that the people can decide or not. Go talk to your client about the billions. I will still respond regarding your client’s billions."

Even after Pashinyan's response, the atmosphere did not calm down for a while. The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, warned "Armenia" faction member Armenuhi Kyureghyan for speaking out of turn.
