40-Year-Old Man Injured in Eye from Explosion of Explosive Device, Hospitalized
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the investigative department of the Kotayk Police is preparing materials regarding an extraordinary incident that occurred on August 22 in the Kotayk region.
On that day, the Malayan Eye Center reported to the Kotayk Police that a citizen had been admitted with diagnoses of "laceration of the lower eyelid of the right eye, grade 3 concussion of the eyeball, hyphema, hemorrhagic detachment of the sclera." A police operational group from the Kotayk division was sent to the hospital and discovered that the injured party was 40-year-old Hrachya S. from Yerevan.
He informed the hospital staff that he had sustained the injury in Garni village. Kotayk Police officers, led by community police inspector Grigoryan, determined that on the same day, around 9:30 PM, a birthday celebration was taking place at one of the houses on G. Marzpetyun Street in Garni, during which an explosive device was accidentally detonated, leading to Hrachya S. being injured.
As per the investigator's decision, a forensic medical examination has been appointed.
