Video: What is Happening at the Dendropark? The Director has been Dismissed, and an Interim Appointee Who Recognizes Only Half the Letters is Assigned
The former director of the Dendropark in Ijevan has announced on his Facebook page that he has been dismissed for campaigning in favor of Robert Kocharyan. Mekhak Sayadyan noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is a family friend and that he has participated in gatherings with Pashinyan's father.
According to him, after becoming Minister of Environment, Romanos Petrosyan demanded his resignation, which he did not agree to. Sayadyan also mentioned that he is being accused of campaigning for R. Kocharyan: "They said, 'You campaigned for Kocharyan.' I haven't campaigned for anyone; I've been interested in everyone. It's my right," he stated.
It is worth noting that in Sayadyan's place, Vardan Khachinyan, who has only partial literacy, has been appointed as the interim director of the Ijevan Dendropark. His mother, Ms. Katya, told Livenews that her son has neurological issues.
Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Environment to clarify what is actually happening at the Ijevan Dendropark. The ministry's spokesperson, Ani Hakobyan, stated that the former director's dismissal is in accordance with the law and is a justified dismissal, as apparent violations and improper execution of financial responsibilities had been discovered in the Ijevan Dendropark.
To the question of whether a person with health issues can even hold an interim position, Ani Hakobyan said it could be for only one week or even a shorter duration. If he has been appointed as a supervisor, then he must not have had health issues that would hinder his ability to work. The opposing side might have made their statements in an emotional context.
The Ijevan Dendropark has only a director, a supervisor, and a guard, and since the director has been dismissed, the responsibilities have temporarily fallen on the supervisor. In the near future, a new director will be appointed to the Ijevan Dendropark, Ani Hakobyan told Auroranews.
Earlier, Mekhak Sayadyan wrote on his Facebook: "This park was founded by my father, and I continued his work. People, Armenians, residents of Ijevan. This person has been pursuing and persecuting me and my family for exactly one year. Today, as if my heart felt it, I went live, I just went to the waterfall, where it is supposedly the center of parks and reserves. Yesterday, you were notified that an order was issued, and I was dismissed from the director's position of the Dendropark... They also quickly transferred the final settlement to my card as I was on my way to Yerevan.
The most ironic thing is that the director of the Reserve Complex, in charge of TEMPORARY DUTIES, was appointed in my place by A. Hakobyan (previously a delivery person for an alcoholic beverage factory) instead of me, my guard (supervisor) Vardan Khachinyan. Vardan is devoted to me and the work. I have to say in honor of Vardan that he was upset, didn't want this, and was even ready to write a resignation letter (he barely recognizes half the letters, struggles to write his name), but I made him understand to sign the act of acceptance-handover. I conveyed the same to Gagik Sargsyan. Imagine, an institution which is no longer scientific, replacing the only forest expert engineer in Armenia, who recognizes the MOST trees and shrubs and is an author of scientific articles and a book, with an illiterate person. This means that БЕСПРЕДЕЛ can be... How you will regret it, Romanos Petrosyan, Ara Hakobyan, and your companions. Do you realize what you are doing...?"
