Neighboring Country's Leader Has Made Offensive Statements Against Our People: Deputy Speaker of Parliament
The leader of a neighboring country has once again allowed himself to make statements offensive to the dignity of our people. This was stated by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, in response to Aliyev's remarks.
“Following the war unleashed against our people involving international terrorist forces and other states, Aliyev clearly aims to completely dismantle the security system of the Republic of Armenia in a short period. Baku must understand very clearly that Armenia's current temporary constraints and the existence of incompetent authorities cannot serve as a basis for the continuous violations of our state's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for ignoring the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination and life.
The Armenian people, as the guarantors of the continuity and security of both Armenian states, will steadfastly fight for their rights. Regarding the international community, it must immediately and practically restrain the ambitions of the war criminal with undisguised territorial claims against our state. International organizations and power centers should not turn a blind eye to Azerbaijan's actions that undermine international relations and the contemporary security systems of the world.
The Armenian people have fought throughout their history for dignified peace; for the last 30 years, we have been the advocates and enforcers of peace in this region. We desire peace, but that peace cannot come at the expense of our dignity and existential rights,” the Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated.
