According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that, fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the accident. Patrol officers from the 2nd squadron of the Yerevan police responded promptly to the scene. Representatives from insurance companies also arrived.
As per G. Shamshyan’s information, the driver of the Mercedes, G. Dumanyan, is the son of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Vahram Dumanyan.
Interestingly, in 2020, Minister V. Dumanyan posted on his Facebook page that his son, G. Dumanyan, a third-year student with excellent grades in the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University, had declined his right to deferment and voluntarily enlisted for mandatory military service. He successfully passed all exams in the training unit, received his first military rank, and proceeded to serve in his main army unit.
