Details Emerge on Alleged Fraud by Davinchi Travel Agency

On August 12, 2021, reports were received from a group of citizens stating that they had transferred funds to the account of the Davinchi LLC travel agency to organize a vacation in Egypt. However, the agency failed to make any bookings, resulting in significant property damage. This information has been reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

In response to these facts, criminal cases have been initiated at the Central Division of the Armenian Police under the second part of Article 178, clause 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. These cases have been forwarded to the investigative division of the Yerevan Investigative Committee responsible for the Central and Norq-Marakay Administrative Regions for further investigation.

A decision has been made to consolidate the aforementioned criminal cases into a single proceeding and conduct a joint investigation. Measures are being taken to clarify the actual circumstances of the incident and ensure an objective and comprehensive examination.

The investigative body has been tasked with identifying any potential additional victims of the travel agency’s actions, as well as locating the agency’s director. The investigation is ongoing.
