Anna Hakobyan meets with a person behind anti-Nikol Pashinyan demonstrations in Moscow, calls him a 'good friend'
"We have no intention of interfering in the personal matters of the Pashinyan-Hakobyan couple, but in this case, the future of the country lies in the balance, which can either be crushed or rise like a phoenix at some stage. Moreover, their mutual relations have long transcended the personal domain and now bear public, political, and strategic significance.
Thus, it has not escaped our notice that the wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has posted a photo online with Artyom Vardanyan, the leader of the Armenian community in Moscow and the Moscow region, presenting him as a 'good friend' of the 'My Step' foundation. Notably, there is an Artyom Vardanyan listed among the donors on the official website of the 'My Step' foundation, who contributed only 1 million drams to the foundation. Yet, it appears he has earned the opportunity to be considered Anna Hakobyan's 'good friend.'
At first glance, there is nothing extraordinary about this, but it is significant that, according to Moscow sources, just a few months ago, the same Artyom Vardanyan was organizing anti-Pashinyan demonstrations in the heart of Russia during Nikol Pashinyan's official visit to Moscow. The biography of the person who was organizing demonstrations against Nikol Pashinyan but is now regarded as a good friend of Anna Hakobyan veers into the realm of surrealist realism.
From local information about the businessman Artyom Vardanyan, we know he was awarded by then-President Robert Kocharyan for bravery and selflessness while defending the borders of his homeland during his service. He later joined the ranks of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA). Interestingly, Artyom Vardanyan's father had been the long-time mayor of Geghamavan. However, for some unknown reason, he now claims that 'there will be no return of the former' and since 'there is a future,' he, being staunchly anti-Pashinyan, has met with the Prime Minister’s wife," the newspaper writes.
