Several Incidents Occurred Between Me and Him: Former Assistant to the Defense Army Commander

Following the controversial publication by NEWS.am regarding the operational style of Defense Army Commander Mikayel Arzumanyan, his former assistant and head of the administrative group, Colonel Samvel Abrahamyan, provided clarifications related to the incident and his dismissal from service.

In an interview with us, he mentioned that after the publication of the material, some circles attempted to link the source of the information to his name. “I must disappoint you, as such a primitive approach is not mine. If I have something to say, it is direct and targeted,” he stated.

Abrahamyan found the reports about him being assaulted amusing, but noted that there were several incidents between him and Arzumanyan. “Even with a strong desire, he (the person who held the ministerial position) cannot speak to me with the strength of a fist. Without opening too many parentheses, I can say that several incidents occurred between me and him due to his abuse of official position. This was followed by my dismissal from service in gross violation of legal provisions,” he added.
